Felician University Students, Alumni, Family & Friends
On March 26, 1942, Immaculate Conception Junior College in Lodi (which was to become Felician University) was incorporated by the Felician Sisters in New Jersey. Felician's mission has grown to bringing students to their highest potential and preparing them to meet the challenges of the new century with informed minds and understanding hearts.
This year, because of the COVID-19 outbreak and the disruptive impact it has had on our community, we have quickly made changes to protect our students, faculty and staff. We have moved to 100% online classes, online student services, Sr. Annelle and Campus Ministry are providing a daily 8:45 a.m. community prayer, and community programming is growing on Radio Felician. While every family is dealing with financial turbulence, we have changed our scheduled Day of Giving to a Day of Caring (and extended the "Day" to however long it takes). We feel it's more important right now to focus on taking care of each other. We set up a special Emergency Student Fund to help students who really need our support these days to continue their education and change the world...now more than ever...one graduate at a time. |
Because social distancing is so important in stopping further spread of the coronavirus, we want to counteract any isolation and disconnect that our students, alumni and friends may be feeling. We encourage you to share stories on this page about how someone connected to Felician University exemplified our Felician Franciscan values: Respect for Human Dignity, Compassion, Transformation, Solidarity with the Poor and Justice and Peace.
Tell us of the heroism, caring, selflessness, inspiration and service that you have observed in your faculty, the Sisters, your classmates, alumni and even speak of your own journey, challenges and accomplishments. The point is...reach out. Tell your story. Connect with your supportive Felician community. Take a break from world news and get ready to be inspired. Together we will get through this. |
